Throughout our COVID-19 Social Media Campaign, APTN has been highlighting some of our #COVID19CommunitySupportFund partners who have stepped up to provide vital support to the community during the #pandemic.
This week’s feature is Blue Diamond Society from #Nepal. A longtime partner of APTN, BDS provided food rations to 90 vulnerable #transwomen in the Kathmandu Valley including trans elders, PLHIV, sex workers, and those that lost their jobs due to COVID. Though the pandemic has only increased the inequalities facing #transcommunities, it has also brought about an increase in unity and networking within the community, as well as trust in BDS.
