APTN attended the Bangkok Youth Pride 2022: Freedom and Justice as an organisational participant and had set up a booth there. It was held at Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC) on 11th June 2022 from 10 AM to 6.30 PM.

The event emphasised the importance of the rights and freedoms of LGBT people in multiple sectors of society, including equal marital rights, freedom of expression, legal gender recognition, access to multi-gender health and mental health services and a campaign to end gender-based violence against LGBTIQIA+ youth.

There was a panel discussion titled “When Youth Lead” with speakers from Chulalongkorn University, Miss Fabulous Thailand, LGBT Disability Network, TEAK, and Makhampom Theater Group. In this event, we also see performances from LGBTQIA+ youth representatives at the front of BACC gallery, a workshop on identity and diversity, art painting, and performance art.

Many local and regional organisations are participating and organising their booth. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet fellow LGBTQIA+ activists in Thailand, exchange knowledge and network with each other.
