Last Update – 28 April 2020
The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is now a pandemic that is changing our world and our lives rapidly. The Asia Pacific Transgender Network has been closely monitoring the fast-evolving developments of COVID-19 and thinking about how it is affecting the lives of the communities, and the critical work that you do. We are touched by the love, care and resilience that members of this community have shown over the last weeks.
We ask you to take a moment to help us understand and document the impact that COVID-19 is having on our communities, we have created the survey with the aim to gather data about the changes trans and gender diverse groups and organisations are undergoing, the challenges you are facing, and the decisions you are having to make in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, we are working with UNDP Thailand to understand the impact of COVID19 on LGBTI communities in Thailand. If you are an LGBTI person living in Thailand or working on such issues, please take this specific survey (Deadline 6th May):
In this page, you will also find a list of resources collated by APTN to support you at this time as you adjust your lives. This collaborative list is a document that is work-in-progress: please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions, or to share resources via the form here to support trans and gender diverse communities through this difficult time.
We will update this list periodically. We have also put together a Listserv on COVID-19 information. Please reach out to us at email@example.com to join the Listserv.
